I have to admit to having a weak spot for the Fasnacht festivities in Basel - which I attend eveyr year and have done for a number of years.
With the legendary Morgenstraich - with its unique blend of politics and piccollos - to the corteges of Monday and Wednesday and a dark dose Basler humour in the huge lanterns and Monster-concerts of Tuesday shows off the wild side of Switzerland
