Historic Heidelberg straddles the River Neckar in a steep valley between two sets of mountains. Aside from the picturesque Baroque-style old town and prominent Castle one of the more popular tourist attractions is to take dinner on the Neckar river itself. This cruise ship plys its trade each evening taking in fabulous views of the city and the environs as is a splendid way to take in the scenery and cityscape as the sun goes down.
