Each year in the Swiss alpine town of Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland hosts the "International Snow Festival". A set of teams from various countries come and, well, sculpt snow into an assortment of designs. Odd as it may sound - they're actually reasonably interesting but still odd that people should sculpt snow as art. What's also a bit odd is that after 29 years, there's only around 10 sculptures. Ho hum.
