St Moritz - gallops at White Turf

St Moritz is famous for the glitz, glamour and, perhaps more than anything else, money. Perhaps less known is that White Turf is where the money comes to parade its fur. It's well worth going for the rest of us - a day out at the Gee-Gees is a rare experience in Switzerland and doesn't come cheap anywhere!

Each year, whenthe Lake of St Moritz freezes over - three weekends in Feburary are taken with the White Turf event. A 6-race card with 3-gallops, 2-trots and the famous Skijöring with horses dominates the afternoon.
