The Corteges at Basel Fasnacht on Monday and Wednesday afternoons process through boths sides of the city - crossing the Rhine river. Many residents of Basel line the streets as the procession, well, proceeds through town with many participants handing out fruit and veg to the crowds and others playing music. With good weather like this, spending time watching the procession or idling along the River front is a most pleasant way to spend some time.
