Solothurn - the Cathedral sitting over old town of Solothurn

Schaffhausen is known as Switzerland's Baroque city. The influence of the French amabassadors to Switzerland, who stayed in Catholic Schaffhausen during the Reformation, ensured that the city was built in the French-influenced Baroque style. Strategically located at an approach to the Rhine from the South-East and on the banks of the Aare river there's some great views of the Schaffhausen skyline - which is dominated by the Baroque Cathedral dedicated to St Ursen.
