Will the Terracotta Army march on London?

Reports from the BBC inform us that the famed Terracotta Army may be displayed at the British Museum towards the end of next year.

Extensive cooperation between the British Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the National Museum of China have announced an extensive programme of collaboration. As the first cultural agreement between a British institution and the National Museum of China, the collaboration is a landmark in the exchange of exhbitions and which will be of immense benefit to both countries.

Having even some of the Terracotta Army come to London is an exciting prospect. The Museums five million annual visitors will have a chance to see what is one of the greatest archeological finds of the twentieth century.

With a trip to China in the works for 2009 to see the Eclipse there, having a glimpse of what is to come will serve only to whet our appetites further!

Mark congratulates all the parties involved in this agreement and looks forward to visting the British Museum, the V&A and the National Museum of China.
