You see, I was going to regal you with a story about the reception staff being nice, about a pleasant owner who graciously upgraded our room from an Economy Double to a Suite, about a comfortable bed with electric blankets, about a central location and about comfy sofas.
But I'm not going to do any of that. Coz I'm pissed about two things.
The first and most important thing I am pissed about is the House Bar. We arrived back from our trip seeing pretty penguins and big sea-lions at around 21:30 and the bar was shut. What the f*** are you supposed to do after a hard days tramping around the place to quench your thirst when even the hotel bar is closed?
The second thing that really pissed me off was the shower. After a hard nights sleeping (which is what you do after a hard time tramping) you take a shower. I'm not exactly a tall man, standing - as I do - at 1.69 meters. But I do stand and object (loudly) to showers whose heads are fixed to the wall at around 1.66 meters. Thereby giving you the priveledged oppurtunity of doing your own head in every time you want to put some water on your hair so you can, for example, wash all the shit out of it. OK, so I could have used the spa-bath thing that was available but I didn't want to coz I wanted a shower.
