The Classic Villa

We checked out The Classic Villa this morning with a very positive impression from our stay. The Classic Villa is very well situated in Christchurch being waling distance to both the main attractions, (Anglican Cathedral, the Avon River and the Botanical Gardens etc) as well as numerous wining and dining oppurtunities.
We had originaly only booked for one night as we had expected to head upto Kaikora but changed our minds and headed straight to Christchurch. Our friendly receptionist quickly, efficiently and politely sorted us out with another night with no-fuss and no-notice.
Our room was clean, spacious and the bed wonderfully comfortable. The free WiFi is also very useful for the business traveller or the laptop carrier wishing to catchup on mail/news etc.
The breakfast setup is pretty cool. Basically, it's a Continental-style breakfast but with a rather large communal table which allows you to interact with other travellers - which is handy for exchanging notes and ideas if you're doing different "circuits" of this wonderful country.
The bathrooms are smallish - but stylishly designed and practical. And the showers have a decent pressure to them as well - which makes a nice change from some of the places we've stayed.
Basically, I have no hesitation in recommending The Classic Villa for your stay in Christchurch.
