Portland - Hotel of Thorndon

The Portland Hotel in the Thorndon area of Wellington. It's basically a clean and tidy hotel. For us it was convienant as we wished to visit the Beehive and the parliament buildings. However, it is quite a walk from Te Papa and "the action" of Cuba Street.
The reception staff were friendly and efficient and underground parking was available. Speaking of which, it was doddle to get in but real tough to get out - the parking spaces are seriosuly on the small side. The bed was a bit too bouncy for our particular liking, meaning we didn't sleep too well.
Basically it was ok.
