The Victoria, Surbiton
Review date: 26 May 2007
Having left The Surbiton Flyer on account of not being able chat, we popped into The Victoria. The Victoria is a Youngs pubs on the high street of Surbiton.
It wasn't that close to late when we turned up, perhaps 22:00, but that didn't stop the Gorillas with Tattoos being out in force.
Somehow the staff seemed to to feign what amounted to "customer-service."
"Whattya want?" came the holler from the other side of the bar.
I glanced up to discover a goon attempting to offer to sell me a beer.
What ever happened to customer-service?, I wondered to myself. I glanced around and saw The Gorillas. The Tattoos.
"Two pints of bitter, please" I replied.
Two pints of bitter thumped on the bar with the full forcefulness of disinterest and a demand for money. I paid, we drank and left.
