London's status as one of the world's major tourist destinations
is, in light of it's history and oppurtunities, is entirely
justified. In my opinion, however, London as a place to live
is one of the Europe's worst options. In spite of this somewhat
schizophrenic attitude to London, I will try to give a balanced
opinion about what you might want to consider doing with your
time as a tourist in London.
London pubs
No visit to London is complete without a visit to a pub. A pub, or public house, is an essential part of London and, indeed, English life. Naturally, I have my favorite pubs that I can recommend to a visitor to London.
Where to stay in London
London's hotels are amongst, if not, the most expensive hotels in the world and certainly in Europe so don't expect a bargain. Where you stay in London really depends on what you want out of your visit. And in the next days and weeks I will be developing an interest/hotel table for publication on this site. A few years agao, however, I did stay at the Regent Palace Hotel which I recommend that you do not stay at under any circumstances unless you're desperate on account of it being a complete dump.
