Swiss Pass

The Swiss Pass is valid for 4, 8, 15 or 30 days of consecutive travel. The Swiss Pass is available from Swiss Tourist Offices overseas or at the airport and main train stations Zürich and Geneva. You will need to produce a foreign passport.

The Swiss Pass provides unlimited travel during it's validity on all SBB trains, boats and postbuses. Most city tram and bus networks and private railways are also included but best check. Cable-cars and mountain-railways are not covered but a discount can be obtained.

Swiss Flexi-Pass

The Swiss Flexi-Pass provides for any three days travel in 15. Benefits are as per the Swiss Pass.

Half-fare card

The half-fare card is available for durations of 1-month, 1-year, 2 or 3 years. Individual tickets can be purchased for a fifty percent reduction in price. It is valid for all trains, buses and boats. Most city networks give a discount - but the discount may be be less than the 50% depending on the ticket you want. Mountain railways may also give a discount of upto 50% with the half-fare card.

Gleis 7

If you're under 25 you can obtain the "Gleis 7" card ("Track 7") which entitles you to a years free travel nationwide after 7pm. For an extra charge it can be upgraded to include half-price travel before 7pm.
