I quite enjoyed my last visit to Asador Don Carlos way back in June so decided to give it another whirl.

The menu remains small. While many of the restaurant in Zürichs Niederdorf tend to overstretch themselves, the Asador Don Carlos does not do so. Au contraire.

Once again, I took the Bruschetta of Beef. Rare. My companion took the chicken marinated in honey and lemon. Side serving of rice. Both dishes were pretty good. Do what they say on the tin. Can recomend both. Rice was a bit sticky and appeared not to have been washed before it had been cooked.

There are essentially two areas which the Asador Don Carlos needs to improve. Speed of service was hideously slow. I know I said that a restaurant shouldn't over-stretch itself but nor should it understretch itself. A bit more variety on the menu without resorting to the stero-typical tourist-trap Argentine Steak-house wouldn't go amiss.

Don Carlos does what it does well but for sure room for improvement.
