Waedi-Brau Huus, Wädenswil
Review date: 07 August 2007
We popped into the Waedi-Brau Huus for a couple of drinks and something to eat. This was the first visit to the Waedi-Brau for some time but things have remained just as good as always.
As a brew-pub the Waedi-Brew offers a range of it's own beers brewed on the premises, including a Helles, a Dunkel and a Hempf-based beer. All of which are served at appropriate tempratures and, frankly, are just bloody nice. Even I, hardened lover of darker beers, am forced to admit that, on occasion, I indulge in a Helles and actually enjoy it. Their beers are awesome. Crisp, fresh and too the point is how I would describe the Helles. Dark, delicious and a fantastic companion to the Waedi-Huus Burger is how one would describe the Dunkel.
And the Burger is delicious. Great patti and a little (but not excessivly much) too much sauce.
Service was generally quick, efficient and polite.
Overall, they're a brew-pub who knows what they're doing. Good beer. Good food to accompany beer. Good value. Overall a bloody nice experience.
