The Falcon Pub, Clapham Junction

Well Mark and his companions are just back from the Falcon, slightly pished, of course. Being right next to Clapham Junction station, The Falcon is, inevitably, a busy place - but not unpleasantly so. The only major complain is that it can be damn noisy, especially early in the evening.

Theres a decent selection of proper beers - which is reassuring for Mark as he's not a Lager drinker by genetic makeup. Old Speckled Hen, Adnams Broadside, Greene King IPA and London Pride are all on offer. This is most excellent as they all seem to be reasonably well kept. For the less civilized, there's Kronenbourg 1664 also on offer.

The replacement of the Ozzies that used to staff this bar with a batch from Eastern Europe has improved service. But that's only to be expected when you replace backpackers with people who have an education. And no convictions.
