Getting to Switzerland
By air
Switzerland is served by three major international airports: Zürich Unique Airport, Geneva International Airport, and Euroairport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg,
Swiss International Airlines use both Zürich and Geneva as major hubs with many other flights also arriving and departing through Basel.
Most major international carriers will serve at least one of these airports. International airports are well connected with public transport into their respective cities and beyond available.
By train
Major international rail hubs exist in Geneva, Zürich and Basel. Lugano and Bellinzona like many larger cities in the Ticino, are well connected to Italy as well as the rest of Switzerland.
Once you're in Switzerland, the public transport system is highly-efficient, punctual and well integrated that getting to your destination won't be a problem.
Trains arrive from most parts of Europe. Regular trains arrive from Paris, Milan, Venice, Salzburg and Frankfurt. Overnight direct trains run to/from Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, Prague, Vienna, Belgrade, Rome and Venice.
