By rail

Bellinzona is connected to both Switzerland and Italy by rail. Regular direct trains to Bellinzona from Zürich are around 2 hrs. Direct trains from Milano Centrale depart regularly for Bellinzona take around 1 hour 30 minutes.

Locarno, Ascona, Chiasso and Como (Italy) are within reach of Bellinzona.

By air

Bellinzona is served by Lugano Airport - in Agno, a short distance from Lugano. Lugano Airport is served by mainly domestic and regional flights.

International air arrivals will probably find it easiest to arrive at Zürich or Milan airports and catch a direct train from Zurich main station or Milano Centrale.
