Stampen, Gamla Stan

We were on our way back to our hotel, the Hotel Sven Vintappare close by in Stockholms Old Town, when our attention was drawn to the Stampen by the live Jazz band playing inside.

The Trio (I didn't get their name) were excellent with a vocalist, pianist and drummer.

The Stampen is a pretty rough-and-ready Jazz pub with at least one gig a day each day of the week. Service is quite matter of fact in a straight-forward, down-to-earth charming kind-of-way.

A selection of Swedish and International beers is available.

If the Stampen were just a pub it would be good for being real. With the the services, it's good. With the live Jazz Bands, it's fantastic. Highly recommended.
