Milan and Turin - accomodation summary

Townhouse 70, (Via 20 Settembre, 70 - 10122 Torino) - We found the Townhouse 70 though the Small Luxury Hotels website and selected the Townhouse for it's excellent central location in Turin. We weren't disappointed. All the main points of interest where close by and service throughout was superb - the reception staff couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable and great places to put your feet up after a hard days sight-seeing. Breakfast selection was modest but of good quality - which makes up.

Starhotels Anderson (Piazza Luigi Di Savoia 20, Milan) - As we were arriving in Milan quite late, we were looking for somewhere close to the train station to spend the first night of our trip. My experience with hotels close to train stations has been one of dubious quality. Starhotels Anderson is an excellent exception to this. Checkin was quick and efficient. Rooms were very comfortable and the hotel was, overall, of very good standard. It's well connected to the metro and Milano Centrale station - which is exactly what we needed this time round. Breakfast was pretty good too.
