Italy - recommended guide books
Lonely
Planet Italy guide has
helped us out on several trips to Italy. One of the best
guides to Italy available. Thinner on the history than
the The
Rough Guide to Italy
but
still an immensly practical book.
The
Rough Guide to Italy is
the usual high standard you can expect from the Rough Guide
series. Excellent practical information on all the major
attractions sits well alongside good quality historical
information. Accomodation and dining recommendations are
consistently good quality - although not always budget
they usually offer good value at price.
The
Eyewitness Guide to Italy is
a typically well illustrated guide we've come to expect
from the Eyewitness range. It's thin on history and practical
information such as accomodation and dining. None the less,
it's an excellent introduction to Italy and will be very
useful to the first time visitor to Italy deciding what
to see and do.
