Getting to Italy by air
Most intercontinental and many international flights will arrive at Rome's Fiumicino airport or Milans Malpensa. Both Rome and Milan are also served by Ciampino and Linate airports respectivly but these are dominated by domestic flights.
Short-haul and regional flights also serve Turin, Bergamo, Venice, Brescia, Verona, Genoa, Parma, Bologna, Rimini, Pisa, Florence, Ancona, Pescara, Naples, Bari, Brindisi, Lamezia on the mainland.
Sicily has airports at Palermo and Catania.
Sardinia is served by Olbia, Alghero and Calgiari airports.
